Scope: This policy explains how we handle information for our websites (e.g., https://your-domain.com) and Android apps published under our Google Play developer account.

Google Play note: We designed this policy to align with Data safety disclosures. Your in-app behaviors must match what’s stated here and in your Play Console.

1) Summary

  • We do not sell personal data.
  • We collect only what is necessary to provide features, improve reliability, prevent fraud/abuse, and support the app.
  • Data may be processed by service providers (e.g., analytics, crash reporting, cloud hosting) under contracts and security controls.
  • You can request deletion of your data (see Your Rights).

2) What We Collect & Why

Exact data varies by app and your choices. The categories below reflect typical Android apps. If a category is not used in a specific app, it will not be collected.

Personal & Contact Information

  • Examples: name, email address (e.g., when you submit a contact form, sign in, or request support).
  • Purpose: account/feature enablement, customer support, service notifications.
  • Retention: kept as long as your account/support case is active, then deleted or anonymized.

App Activity & Usage

  • Examples: feature interactions, screens viewed, basic event metrics.
  • Purpose: product analytics, quality, and performance improvements.
  • Tools: Google Analytics for Firebase or equivalent.

App Info & Performance

  • Examples: crash logs, diagnostics, device model, OS version, app version.
  • Purpose: troubleshoot issues, improve stability, prevent abuse.
  • Tools: Firebase Crashlytics or equivalent.

Device or Other IDs

  • Examples: Instance IDs, installation IDs, or advertising ID (if ads are shown).
  • Purpose: analytics, notifications, fraud prevention, or advertising (only if the app uses ads).

Location (Optional, App-Specific)

  • Examples: coarse or precise location only if the app offers a location-based feature.
  • Purpose: enable feature(s) like nearby results or localized content.
  • Control: Android runtime permission; you can allow/deny in system settings.

User-Provided Content (Optional)

  • Examples: messages, files, images you upload within the app.
  • Purpose: provide the requested feature (e.g., support attachments or app functionality).
  • Storage: encrypted at rest where supported by our cloud providers.

3) Android Permissions

Our apps request permissions only when needed for a feature and only after an in-app explanation (where appropriate). Common examples:

  • INTERNET – network access to deliver content and services.
  • ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE – detect connectivity to handle offline states.
  • ACCESS_COARSE/ACCESS_FINE_LOCATIONonly for location features.
  • POST_NOTIFICATIONSonly if the app sends user-opted notifications.
  • Other runtime permissions are requested only when a specific feature requires them.

4) Sharing & Service Providers

We may share data with:

  • Service providers (e.g., hosting, analytics, crash reporting, email delivery) who process data on our behalf under contractual confidentiality and security obligations.
  • Legal & safety recipients when required by law, to protect users, our rights, or investigate abuse/fraud.

We do not sell your personal data.

5) Advertising & Analytics

Some apps may use analytics and/or show ads:

  • Analytics (e.g., Firebase Analytics): to understand feature usage and improve the app.
  • Ads (if present): may use the Android Advertising ID and cookies/SDKs to show and measure ads. You can opt out of ads personalization in your device settings.

6) Data Retention

  • We retain data only as long as needed for the purposes above, to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce agreements.
  • When retention is no longer necessary, we delete or anonymize data.

7) Security

We use industry-standard safeguards to protect information (encryption in transit, access controls, monitoring). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we continuously improve our protections.

8) Children’s Privacy

Our apps and services are not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent age of consent in your region). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided data, contact us and we will delete it.

9) Your Rights & Controls

  • Access/Correction: Request a copy of your data or ask us to fix inaccuracies.
  • Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data (subject to lawful exceptions).
  • Opt-outs: You can disable analytics/ads personalization in device settings where supported; you can also revoke app permissions in Android settings.
  • Data portability & objection (where applicable by law).

10) International Transfers

We may process data on servers located outside your state or country. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards (e.g., contractual clauses) to protect your information.
